The first “paper” seemed to make quite an impression, in a positive way. I did not really expect that. Most people who read the paper were particularly surprised by how negatively we view the concept of ‘selfish’. People do not generally pair the word ‘selfish’ to ‘happiness’, and I am glad that I was able to generate further exploration into this.
It was not my intention to influence anyone to “become single” just because that is the choice I have made. As I continue writing about the topic, the views will be somewhat biased in favor of the single lifestyle; however, I will also provide alternate viewpoints. I also encourage people to make their own comments and observations. And what about you scholarly types who want to read something more formal with the APA format? Sorry, not this time. This is a project where I am allowed to be as creative and opinionated as I want to be. This will be my own voice, but I will include the respected opinions of others.
